Renewables
Renewables Sponsor
Renewables is a growing area of the Cereals Event, dedicated to the renewables, biofuel and non-food crop markets.
Renewables has been specially developed by the Cereals Event team together with the support of the National Non-Food Crops Centre for forward thinking farmers who are considering alternative crops or markets.
Visitors have the opportunity to:
- Explore the myriad of opportunities available to UK farmers, for renewable fuel, renewable energy and non-food crops;
- Question end-market representatives looking to sign up growers;
- Discover how to become practically involved in these valuable new cropping options from crop choice through to grant applications, agronomy, crop management and harvesting and selling.
Biomass opportunities
‘Renewables’ sponsor Drax Power is just one of several companies keen to engage with arable farmers at the Cereals Event to develop a stronger biomass supply chain in the UK. Companies are keen to attract biomass supplies in a variety of forms from cereal straw or miscanthus through to poultry litter.
