The UK’s leading technical event for the arable sector returns this June to the Boothby Graffoe and Farm491 will be taking members along to share innovations.

On the 14th and 15th June, more than 24,000 farmers, agronomists, crop scientists and agrarian companies will be descending on Lincolnshire for the two-day show.

The event is a fantastic opportunity for the thinkers, innovators and those actively working the land to meet colleagues, prospects, suppliers and to do vital business. From robots to genetics, visitors have chance to gain insight into the future of farming. It will offer a glimpse of how technology has the potential to influence arable farming in the next 5-10 years. In the Arable Conference area visitors can listen to policy makers, environmentalists and crop scientists and in the Drone Zone watch live demonstrations and learn how the captured data can assist with production decisions.

A selection of members will be joining the Farm491 team on stand 837, highlighting the diversity of innovation and entrepreneurship taking place at the enterprise hub at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU).  This will include Landapp, an online design tool for land management, Petiole, a mobile solution in precision/GMO agriculture and Dan Robinson from Farm-r who has developed a digital platform for machinery trading. The innovators will also be joined by member Multibox, the first company in the UK seeking to produce insects on a commercial scale for the animal feed, fertiliser, and medical industries. The final member to join the line-up will be DiAgrii who has developed a smart monitoring solution for livestock – tracking and detailing animal location, speed of movement and providing vital information on animal health and well-being.

Verity Payne, Farm491 said; “Technology and technical innovations are at the heart of the arable sector. With remote sensing, land mapping, to biotechnology, the future of farming relies on technology to feed a growing global population and to help streamline efficiency and performance. The Cereals Event is the leading technical event for arable farming and we’re excited to have a presence. Please join us at stand 837 to meet our members and learn how Farm491 can help your agritech business or idea.”
