The main exhibit on the Griffith Elder stand at Cereals 2023 will be our ever-popular portable Weigh Beams which are in use across many varied agricultural applications in addition to a number of other industries both here in the UK and Worldwide.

Typically Griffith Elder Weigh Beams are surface mounted and need no formal or permanent installation. They are the entry point method of weighing farm tractors and trailers as well as articulated lorries and bulkers and their contents with a combined weight capacity of up to 50 tons and can record tare, net and gross weights. Our Weigh Beams come with fully folding ramps and as well as running from a standard 13 amp or 12 volt supply, come with a self-contained power pack and are therefore suitable for use in remote locations as well as the main yard. Included in the standard kit is an LED indicator which is mounted on a tripod and visible to the driver at all times during the weighing process.

In addition, there is a ticket printer and all the associated cables. The recorded information is stored on a memory stick which can be transferred to a computer and viewed or saved in spreadsheet format on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Also available as an option are RFID Fobs which are issued for specific vehicle combinations so that the driver does not need to exit the vehicle. With a simple press of the button Date, Time and Vehicle Tare Weight and Net Weight of the crop are stored with every weighing.
