We supply agricultural raw materials for the feed, food and fuel industry. We have been doing this for more than 120 years. Our efficient supply chains and logistics make it possible to deliver products between our suppliers and our customers in Europe. We are part of the German BayWa Group.

Cefetra Ltd is one of the major traders of grains and animal feed raw materials in the UK and Ireland, and we are building a Nationwide Grain-Trading Network across the UK.

This exciting expansion began with the acquisition of Wessex Grain and the opening of an office in Stoke Ferry(Norfolk) followed by further offices in Chilton (Suffolk), Lincolnshire, Kent and York.

With Sister companies across Europe including The Netherlands, Spain and Hungary.  Dispatching between 85,000 – 90,000 tonnes of raw materials to Industry Partners every week, and delivering 550 – 600 lorry loads per day.

We have over 700,000 tonnes of storage capacity supported by state of the art processing technology and the best expertise in the industry.

As part of BayWa, Cefetra has access to Global supply chains and a financially strong, experienced network through our investments from other areas within the group.

About POLY4

Cefetra has a long-term agreement for the exclusive European marketing and distribution rights of POLY4 fertilizer. POLY4 is a multi-nutrient, low-chloride fertilizer certified for organic farming.    

POLY4 derived from a naturally occurring mineral polyhalite. It will be mined and produced in the UK by Anglo American Woodsmith Ltd following the acquisition of Sirius Minerals by Anglo American Plc in March 2020.

POLY4 contains four of the six essential macro nutrients that all crops need to grow: potassium, sulphur, magnesium and calcium – all in one product. This fertilizer has several key benefits including crop yield and quality improvement and sustained nutrient delivery profile. POLY4 is a granular product that handles and stores effectively and can be spread with standard equipment up to 36 metre width.
