The Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology (LIAT) supports and enhances productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in food and farming through research, education, and technology.
A specialist research institute of the University of Lincoln, our multi-disciplinary team brings together sector-leading expertise in a diverse range of subjects from crop science, engineering and computer science. The team are based at the University’s 200-hectare Riseholme Campus just north of Lincoln and have access to a range of facilities including a mixed arable / livestock farm, robotic fruit farm,trial plots, polytunnels, experimental retail refrigeration centre and agri-robotics workshop.
We offer a range of opportunities in BASIS accredited courses as well as MSc and PhD study / research focussing on agri-food, robotics and automation.
We also offer a range of industry collaboration opportunities for research projects across the agri-tech sector.
