08 Jun 2022
New Era Theatre

As farming margins tighten due to volatile input costs and output prices, and demands grow for greater environmental responsibility and climate action, are the emerging carbon markets a reliable source of additional income?  The CLA will lead a debate and discuss the risks and opportunities of carbon markets. We will shine a light on:  options available, such as soils, hedgerows, peatland and trees; clarify the new carbon market language; identify key considerations for contracts; compatibility with other incomes streams; future prospects for carbon markets.

Chairperson
Cath Crowther, Director East - CLA
Speakers
Susan Twining, Chief Land Use Policy Adviser - CLA
Alastair Leake, Director of Policy & The Allerton Project - Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT)
Andrew Voysey, Head of Impact and Carbon - Soil Capital
