Emily is a Molecular Plant Biologist, with extensive knowledge and research experience in plant biotechnology and crop physiology. During her PhD, she worked with Limagrain Europe to generate gene-edited maize lines with improved drought resistance, and conducted large-scale commercial glasshouse trials. Following this, Emily completed a postdoc engineering rice to boost carbon sequestration, before joining the UK Agri-Tech Centre as an Innovation Associate, specialising in Sustainable Crop Production.
