Michael Haverty joined The Andersons Centre (Andersons) in 2015, having previously worked for IHS Markit, Syngenta, JFC Agri, and IDA Ireland. He has played a leading role in Andersons’ coverage of Brexit and regularly presents at Andersons’ Spring Seminars on the prospects for UK agriculture. He has led numerous market research studies on topics such as biostimulants, crop area forecasting and precision agriculture focusing on the UK, European and the Americas markets. He has also played a key role in the delivery of studies examining the impact of policy changes encompassing agricultural policy and CAP reform, trade policy and the environment across the UK and Ireland. Michael comes from a farming background in Ireland, graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Economics and Management from Queen’s University Belfast, and an MSc in International Agricultural and Food Marketing from Newcastle University.
