Farmer, AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds Sector Council Member (Producer) & Nuffield Scholar

Russell farms on the Cambridgeshire/Northamptonshire border, producing oilseed rape, beans, oats, malting barley milling wheat and a number of seed crops. Russell is a former AHDB monitor farmer (2014–2017) and currently sits on the AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds Council and Recommended List project board. A 2014 Nuffield Scholar having researched Success with no-till under any conditions and a former retuning Scholar trustee on the Nuffield board. A keen innovator and adopter of new techniques, Russell has a strong interest in trials – with the farm hosting a range of trials that he designs from varieties to fungicides and nutrition and in collaboration with other companies as well as undertaking consultancy work for a number of different farms and companies.
