Sarah Baker

Senior Policy Officer , Greater Lincolnshire Nature Partnership

Sarah is the Greater Lincolnshire Nature Partnership’s senior policy officer working to influence agricultural policy and promote practices that enhance both biodiversity and farm profitability. She is a member of the Greater Lincolnshire Forum for Agriculture and Horticulture and the representative for England’s local nature partnerships on the Programme Monitoring Committee for the 2014-20 Rural Development Programme for England. In 2017, Sarah managed a Defra-funded research study to assess the impact of increased maize cropping on pollinators and wider invertebrates. That project provided the groundwork on which to base the GLNP’s current pollinator work which received further Defra funding to look at putting research into practice on Lincolnshire farms. Prior to the GLNP Sarah worked as a newspaper editor managing a team of journalists across three Lincolnshire titles. She has an MSc in Countryside Management and is an Associate member of the BASIS Professional Register.
