  • Over 600 individual crop plots from 25 exhibitors will give visitors to Cereals access to the very latest in crop breeding, protection, nutrition, and science on 11-12 June in Hertfordshire.

“The plots are looking well,” says Will Davies, farming consultant at Ceres Rural, who has overseen their agronomy and management. “The site has coped well with a challenging growing period, which is a credit to site manager Jonathan Backhouse, NIAB’s Shawn Coleman and our host farmers Alex Farr and Edward Wainright Lee.

“The plots will allow visitors to see first-hand varieties, nutrition, biological products and inputs, as well as new innovations and niche crops. And there are more exhibitors than ever – it’s a great opportunity to see all they have to offer in one place.”

  • A new partnership with Direct Driller Magazine at this year’s Cereals Event is set to help farmers incorporate regenerative practices into their management, in an era of increasing environmental and financial pressures.

Taking place adjacent to the main Cereals site, the new Direct Driller@Cereals demonstration arena will sit alongside an interactive seminar space, wildflower and cover crop plots, and exhibition stands profiling all the latest innovation in the no-till world, with the overall theme of ‘Regenerating Farm Profit’.

  • The arable sector is constantly innovating, with new products and scientific techniques being developed to improve crop health, farm efficiencies and profitability. And visitors to the Cereals Event will be able to see a whole host of innovations, demonstrations, and technical experts in one place.

To be held at Bygrave Woods in Hertfordshire on 11-12 June 2024, the event’s catalogue of new and returning exhibitors already exceeds 450 arable-focused companies offering a range of technology, machinery, and expertise.

With some 98 new exhibitors this year, key topics and interests are well-covered, from regenerative agriculture to cutting-edge precision techniques.

  • Seeing machinery in action is critical for farmers who are interested in buying any new kit. But it’s not always easy to arrange – so visitors to the Cereals Event will be delighted to know that there will be 200+ demonstrations happening across both days of the event this year.

“This is one of Cereals’ biggest years for demonstrations,” says event manager, Alli McEntyre. “The co-located DirectDriller@Cereals – co-hosted with Direct Driller Magazine – adds even more working demonstrations to the line-up.”

  • Tracing the arable supply chain – from seed in the field to products on the shelf – is the theme of a brand-new seminar stage at this year’s Cereals Event (11-12 June 2024).

Created in partnership with leading industry associations, the Seed to Shelf stage, sponsored by KWS, will host two full days of informative seminars from plant breeders, agronomists, farm contractors, and farmers through to grain marketers, processors, retail brands and retailers.

  • The Cereals Event 2024 will welcome visitors to its new site at Bygrave Woods, Newnham Farm in Hertfordshire on 11-12 June, alongside its brand-new co-hosted event DirectDriller@Cereals – and early bird tickets for both are now on sale.

  • The Cereals Event and Direct Driller magazine will cohost a new event for farmers and agronomists in the summer of 2024. Taking place adjacent to the main Cereals Event on 11-12 June, DirectDriller@Cereals will tackle how regenerative farming can make large scale arable farms more commercially successful.
