Why Farm Stock?  Sandy's mission for Farm Stock is to empower the next generation of farmers.  He believes that the best way to create a thriving industry is to give people the tools, knowledge, inspiration and belief to succeed.  So what does that actually look like? Well, it focuses on two aspects - ourselves and our businesses.

  • Business farmers are the future. Entrepreneurial minded farmers who are keen to have a go, take a risk and seek out the opportunities. All this lifestyle farming stuff is dead and gone. It won’t work now or in the future.
  • Mindset shift - We know we have the best produce in the world. What we need now is the confidence and belief in ourselves to take it to the world and succeed.

If you would like more information about Farm Stock, please contact Sandy by email at sandy@farm-stock.co.uk

Host Farmer

The Farr Family have been farming in Hertfordshire, Newnham for four generations.  All of the farming is completed in-house by their highly skilled farm team.  The team uses the most modern machinery to ensure accurate and timely applications of seed and sprays, helping reduce costs and maximise outputs.

They grow a range of crops including wheat for both milling and livestock uses, malting and feed barley, oil seed rape, sugar beet and peas. Most of the milling wheat will be sold onto Weetabix or McVitie's biscuits and the malting barley is sold on for brewing beer.

After running a music festival for 10 years, the Farrs developed an ideal, scenic venue for all kinds of outdoor events. From concerts to corporate events to weddings, Bygrave Woods at Newnham Farm can accommodate it all.

For more information on AE&WA Farr farming or the event venue, please contact Alex by email at alex@aewafarr.co.uk
